Foster Care Surrender Program
We understand that needing to surrender a pet can be a difficult and emotional decision, and we’re here to support you through it. Our Surrender Program is designed to help Central Coast owners who feel their dog or puppy may benefit from a fresh start in the care of one of our dedicated foster carers.
A quick note: Our Erina and Charmhaven shelters are currently at full capacity, so we’re unable to accept dog or cat surrenders onsite at this time.
We do have a number of foster homes available to assist local families. To ensure every animal is placed safely and thoughtfully, we can only consider surrender applications that align with the specific needs and experience of our foster carers.
Conditions and a surrender fee apply. Our Foster Coordinator will discuss this with you.
Before adoption, all surrendered puppies and dogs will be microchipped, vaccinated, flea‑ and worm‑treated, registered, desexed, and rehomed into carefully vetted, suitable homes.
When you’re ready, please submit your application below.
🐾 SURRENDER APPLICATION UPDATE 🐾
Due to the limited number of foster carers currently available, we are unfortunately only able to consider surrender applications for small adult dogs or puppies until further notice.
We understand this may be disappointing for those needing help with larger dogs, and we are truly sorry that we cannot assist every animal in need at this time.
Our priority is ensuring that every dog we accept into our care has a safe and suitable foster placement available.
