For those who don't know Moss and her story, she arrived at So Cares when she was just over a year old, malnourished and with severe anxiety.  During her time in care with us, Moss began to resource guard her food bowl and high value treats.  Being within the kennel environment was only making this worse and we desperately needed to get her out, into a home and assessed away from the stress of the shelter life.

 

In August (a year after she arrived to So Cares) Moss went to Waggy Travels and Adventures for a 10 day stay to assess her behaviour and what a difference we saw.  With structure, training, time out in nature and canine friends around her Moss started to show her true colours and how smart she really was.  10 days soon turned to nearly a month while we desperately looked for a foster home to prevent Moss from returning to kennel life.  Unfortunately we were unable to find her a suitable foster home and Moss was returned to the facility.

 

Luckily this was not for long and we are pleased to report that Moss has entered into a long term foster care home here on the Central Coast supported by both So Cares and Waggy Travels to help her continue on her path of success.

We would love to be able to give Moss the joys of an adventure walk twice a week with the team at Waggy Travels.  1.5 hours out in nature with her canine friends exploring the world.
